MORE THAN FEB 14: LIVING THE SPIRIT OF VALENTINE'S DAY

Valentine’s Day, celebrated every February 14, is widely known as a day of love and affection. It is commonly associated with flowers, chocolates, and heartfelt messages. The celebration is linked to the story of Saint Valentine, a Roman priest who became a symbol of love and devotion. Over time, Valentine’s Day has evolved into a global celebration of romance and appreciation.

In many countries such as the Philippines, couples celebrate by going on romantic dates, exchanging gifts, and attending mass weddings organized by local governments. Restaurants, malls, and parks are filled with people expressing their love not only for romantic partners but also for family and friends. Love is celebrated in many forms, not just romantic, but also unconditional and selfless love.

“Always on Valentine’s Day” reminds us that love should not only be expressed once a year. True love is shown through daily actions, kindness, patience, understanding, and support. Instead of limiting love to February 14, we can choose to live with compassion and appreciation every day of the year.
